Welcome! And If I Must say …Coming Soon

It’s official, I’m using language from a pet peeve of mine…the “stay tuned” or “can’t wait to share” or “coming soon” kind of note we see all over social media, How many posts or emails does one need informing me of something coming?

Turns out at least one is appropriate, color me wrong for pet peevin’ all this time.  My apologies.

So here we are friends. The journey into the world has begun for the book, however the date for purchase is COMING SOON.

We’re close to a book release but still have some editing to do!  Patience is a virtue and we’re leaning into that to make the book as good as we can prior to publishing.

Virtues are an important part of the book, specifically the 4 Cardinal Virtues of Stoicism: Temperance, Courage, Justice and Wisdom. They serve as a foundation to philosophy that I would hold very highly and then start to ignore blatantly in active addiction.  Luckily, ever since my bottom, I’ve gotten back to respecting and holding virtue close - which is why we’re keeping patience as a good friend, instead of disregarding it :)

It meant a lot for me to let everyone in on NYTFG on 4/09/23 as that date was 2 years without a drink!  April 9th is monumentally important to me, it forever marks the day where I turned my life around.  I started living honestly, and began growing into a better man that others can trust.  Perfect date to share with my network (and beyond) the book we’ve been working on.

In the meantime, receiving these emails will give you a lot of writing from the book and insight into the process.  In addition to the blog & emails, we’re starting a YouTube channel as well for short videos that discuss the book, the process, addiction, sobriety…all the things. Those won’t take up more than 5-7 minutes of your time, at most. You’ll mainly hear from me, MJ, for a little while.  Ashley is transitioning her practice to focus on more intensive work, and has a very full plate. Once life settles a bit, she’ll have more to add. The goal is to share chapters, talk about them and have this process be a dialogue with you.

Actually, scratch that note on hearing from my only, you’ll hear from AB here in the book introduction. Enjoy the first few pages from the unedited cut of Not Yet Too Far Gone. More to come next week!
